xEngineer Team Lead for Document Management

As a Team Lead you will lead a team of backend engineers that owns several core services at the heart of Wixs editors infrastructure.

The team is responsible for:

• Building and maintaining backend APIs that enable safe and scalable changes to the site model operating at massive scale and impacting millions of users

• Designing and generating schemas that power Wixs next-generation editors Harmony and Studio 2

• Owning the editor loading flow ensuring fast reliable and consistent editor initialization

In addition you will:

• Lead the design and ownership of a unified document site model that captures user intent across all Wix editors

• Provide technical leadership through mentorship guidance and hands-on contribution

• Architect and maintain highly performant scalable systems

• Establish and uphold high engineering standards best practices and code quality

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design build test and deliver impactful features

• Drive complex technical initiatives from concept to production

Qualifications :

• 4 years of software engineering experience with a strong backend or full-stack background

• 2-3 years of experience as a team lead

• experience leading large complex projects end-to-end

• Deep understanding of large-scale web applications and distributed systems

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex technical challenges

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• A proactive approach with a strong curiosity to understand systems deeply
