SW Development Engineer, AWS Elastic Network Adapter Firmware team, ENA

Working for Annapurna Labs is thrilling fast-paced and a constant learning experience. As an ENA Drivers SW development engineer you will be responsible for developing kernel-space and user-space network drivers running on the customers virtual machines. You will develop features for Annapurna Labs next-generation hardware to enable high network bandwidth and packets-per-seconds (PPS) performance with consistently low latency. As an ENA Drivers SW development engineer you will play a key role in shaping SW designs keep-up with new features and enhancements provided by various operating systems and help resolve complex customer issues. You will continuously evolve technically while working to monitor AWS cloud health maintain high-quality standards develop highly-optimized code and provide exceptional customer satisfaction.

ENA drivers are available for all supported operating systems (e.g. Linux Windows DPDK FreeBSD MacOS ) and run on the host virtual machine. The Linux DPDK and FreeBSD ENA drivers are open-source and available in the official Amazon drivers github and corresponding operating systems repositories. The ENA drivers are responsible to manage the interface between the Nitro controller and the virtual instance manage resources and configurations and implement various networking enhanced features. A SW engineer in ENA Drivers team will design develop and upstream new features for AWS Nitro servers work with internal and external customers and continuously invest efforts in maintaining high-quality operational bar.







- . degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of professional experience in SW development
- Strong hands-on experience in C development with a mindset for developing optimized code

- Experience with coding/scripting in one or more languages (e.g. Python C C Java Ruby or PowerShell)
- 5 years of embedded firmware development experience
- Experience with general troubleshooting/debugging of hardware or experience writing low level drivers
- Experience with performance and log analysis
- Experience developing in a Linux environment and in utilizing virtual machines
- Experience in Linux and Networking protocols
