Medtronic Cranial Spine and Therapy (CST) is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our R&D organization and support the development of innovative medical device and cloud-based solutions across the Aible Ecosystem. As part of the DevOps team you will be a hands-on individual contributor responsible for designing building and operating secure scalable and reliable public cloud platforms that enable software delivery across the CST Division including the Aible Ecosystem Converged Planner app and Gaitway. You will combine strong software engineering skills with cloud infrastructure automation and operational excellence to support secure compliant and highly available cloud solutions. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative global environment and contribute to cloud-based applications that support surgeons in remote spine procedure planning.
The position is based in Caesarea Israel with a hybrid work part of the DevOps team you will be a hands-on individual contributor responsible for designing building and operating secure scalable and reliable public cloud platforms that enable software delivery across the CST Division including the Aible Ecosystem Converged Planner app and Gaitway. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building cloud application capabilities that support surgeons in remote spine procedure planning.

You will work across engineering security infrastructure and product teams to enable modern cloud-native delivery at scale.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design implement and maintain AWS cloud platform services infrastructure-as-code solutions and automation frameworks.
• Build and support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines container platforms and deployment automation.
• Implement cloud security controls including identity and access management encryption logging monitoring and compliance guardrails.
• Integrate cloud services and platform capabilities that meet business operational and security requirements.
• Develop observability incident response and operational support capabilities to improve platform reliability and service performance.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure deployment and production issues; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with application infrastructure cybersecurity and quality teams to modernize platforms and improve software delivery practices.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews engineering standards mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 6 years OR advanced degree and 4 years of experience in DevOps cloud platform engineering or site reliability engineering.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in production environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
• Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure automation in enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) APIs and software development practices.
• Experience with Terraform Ansible GitOps and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud security governance compliance frameworks and secure-by-design architectures.
• Experience building reusable platform services across multiple products regions or business units.
• Experience in regulated medical device healthcare software or Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) environments.
