The Analogue and Digital Staff HW R&D Engineer is a technical HW leader within R&D responsible for end-to-end ownership of electromechanical hardware subsystems used in Integra LifeSciences medical addition to hands-on design verification and production transfer this role provides technical direction and design authority to ensure robust compliant and manufacturable hardware solutions.
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Technical Leadership & Ownership
Serveastechnicalowner for hardware subsystems or platforms across multiple product generations.
Leadhardwarearchitecture decisions and trade-off analyses balancing performance risk cost and manufacturability.
Actasdesignauthority in formal reviews and technical decision forums.
Requirements & Specifications
Leadhardwarerequirements definition in collaboration with Systems Software Quality Regulatory and Product teams.
Translate system-level requirements into robust testable hardware specifications.
Design Implementation & Documentation
Design and implement complex analog and digital circuitry compliant with medical device standards.
Author and review top-level and detailed design documentation.
Mentor engineers and lead technical design reviews.
Verification Validation & Risk Management
Define hardware verification strategies and ensurerequirementstraceability.
Lead development of test fixtures and complex verification setups.
Identifyand mitigate technical and compliance risks throughout the product lifecycle.
Manufacturing & Lifecycle Support
Supporthardwaretransfer to production and support sustaining engineering activities.
Drive continuous improvement forfield performance.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability
required for this position:
BS in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred)
Minimum 15 years of experience designing analogue and digital circuitry.
Deep understanding of medical device regulations including IEC 60601.
Advanced proficiency with OrCAD or equivalent hardware design tools.
Demonstrated ability to lead technically and mentor engineers.
