Role Overview

As a WMS Implementation Consultant you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between physical warehouse operations and our clients digital software systems. You will lead and support the deployment of the proprietary market-leading Warehouse Management System (WMS) for corporate clients across various industries (such as FMCG Retail 3PL and Manufacturing). Your primary mission is to ensure successful software deployments from the pre-implementation blueprinting phase through to configuration user acceptance testing (UAT) go-live hypercare and managing ongoing post-implementation change requests (CRs).

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End WMS Implementation & Go-Live

System Blueprinting & Gap Analysis: Partner with clients to map their physical warehouse layouts operational processes (inbound putaway picking packing shipping cycle counting) and inventory flows to design localized WMS configurations.

Configuration & Rule Setup: Configure rule-based parameters within the WMS including RF/handheld terminal interfaces Web UI displays cross-docking workflows and bonded warehouse protocols.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with clients. Validate data flows ERP/host integration points (via integration hubs) and handheld scanner operations.

On-Site Hypercare & Go-Live Support: Provide critical hands-on support at the clients warehouse site during the high-stress "go-live" period. Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks resolve data mismatch issues and ensure smooth process adoption.

2. Post-Go-Live Support & Change Request (CR) Management

Change Request (CR) Evaluation: Analyze scope and document post-implementation change requests from existing customers seeking to optimize localize or upgrade their existing WMS setups.

Post-Implementation Support: Diagnose and resolve operational and system configuration issues logged by customers after their initial stabilization phase.

Value-Added Enhancements: Guide clients on how to optimize their WMS configuration postgo-live as their business volumes or storage network complexities scale.

3. Client Training & Stakeholder Alignment

Operational Training: Deliver structured hands-on training to warehouse managers supervisors and floor operators on using the WMS Web UI and RF/handheld devices.

Best Practice Consultancy: Counsel clients on industry best practices for warehouse design inventory slotting and labor productivity tracking using the WMS data insights.



Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Industrial Engineering Information Technology or a related field.

Operational Experience: Minimum 24 years of operational experience working inside a warehouse or logistics center with a strong understanding of physical warehousing workflows.

Technical Experience: Practical hands-on experience with WMS software (either as a super-user operations manager in-house analyst or external deployment consultant). Experience implementing tier-1 or tier-2 solutions (such as Honeywell FLUX Blue Yonder SAP EWM Manhattan or Infor) is highly preferred.

Implementation Track Record: Direct experience participating in at least one full cycle of WMS implementation (from system definition to go-live hypercare) or managing post-implementation Change Requests (CRs).

Key Skills & Competencies

Warehouse Savvy: Complete familiarity with physical warehouse hardware (RF Scanners Handheld PDA Terminals label printers) and standard operational logic (FIFO FEFO LIFO batch control SKU management).

Analytical Problem-Solving: Ability to logically translate physical warehouse processes into systemic software parameters and rules.

Stakeholder Management: Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with both on-the-floor warehouse laborers and corporate C-suite executives.

Flexibility to Travel: Willingness to travel to client logistics centers across the region for on-site deployment testing and go-live support as required by the projects.
