Were looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Business Platform team in Jakarta Indonesia. The Business Platform powers the backend capabilities that enable businesses and enterprises to onboard operate grow and serve consumers at scale across Southeast Asia.

Get to Know the Role

In this role you will design build and evolve backend platform services that manage business profiles store metadata business configuration and related operational workflows. Youll work on systems that sit close to the source of truth for business data and workflowssystems that directly influence how businesses set up their operations how internal teams operate reliably and how downstream products consume trusted business information. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong ownership pragmatic system design thinking and a commitment to building platforms that simplify complexity rather than spread it around.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Design build and maintain low-latency RESTful/GraphQL APIs and distributed microservices capable of handling heavy traffic loads.
• Schema design data modeling and query optimization across relational (e.g. PostgreSQL) and NoSQL/caching databases (e.g. MongoDB Redis).
• Set up automated monitoring logging and tracing to proactively diagnose bottlenecks maintain security best practices and resolve production outages.
• Manage automated CI/CD pipelines containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure) for smooth reliable releases.
• Author comprehensive unit/integration tests participate in code reviews and write clear technical design documentation to manage technical debt.

Qualifications :

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You need to have solid software engineering and coding skills. Specifically were looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in a backend language like Go Scala Java or C.
• You should help build front-end applications. This means you need to be comfortable working with HTML CSS and JavaScript. Your skills in these areas will directly contribute to the enhancement of our user interfaces.
• You understand building microservices architecture and a good grasp of distributed systems RESTful APIs and message queuing systems. Your knowledge in these areas will develop our back-end services.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL is important. Youll work with databases so familiarity with how they work and how to work with them is important.
• You have knowledge of software development best practices. This includes version control (specifically Git) unit testing and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
