Senior Barista

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages and specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain consistency in coffee quality taste presentation and service delivery.
• Supervise daily barista operations and provide guidance to junior team members.
• Train and coach Baristas on coffee preparation techniques beverage knowledge and service standards.
• Ensure proper handling storage and maintenance of coffee beans ingredients and equipment.
• Monitor coffee equipment performance and coordinate maintenance when required.
• Develop and recommend new beverage ideas seasonal menus and coffee promotions.
• Maintain cleanliness organization and hygiene standards of the coffee station and service area.
• Assist in inventory control stock monitoring and beverage cost management.
• Provide personalized service by engaging with guests and understanding their preferences.
• Handle guest feedback and requests professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Support hotel events functions and special beverage requirements when required.
• Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene and hotel operational standards.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

• Minimum 34 years of experience as a Barista preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel specialty coffee shop or luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of coffee beans brewing methods espresso techniques and beverage preparation.
• Experience in training and supervising junior baristas is preferred.
• Good understanding of beverage costing inventory control and equipment maintenance.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Good command of English (spoken and written).
• Creative detail-oriented and passionate about coffee and beverage innovation.
• Professional appearance and positive service attitude.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.
• Relevant barista certification (e.g. specialty coffee training) is an advantage.
