Room Attendant
Job Summary
The Room Attendant ensures that guest rooms are clean well-maintained and provide a comfortable and inviting environment for guests. As a Room Attendant the primary responsibility is to perform thorough cleaning and maintenance tasks in guest rooms including making beds dusting vacuuming and replenishing amenities. They follow established hotel standards and procedures to ensure consistency and quality in room cleanliness and presentation. The Room Attendant pays attention to detail ensuring that all areas of the room including the bathroom and common spaces are spotless and properly stocked. They may also be responsible for reporting any maintenance issues or damage in the rooms to the appropriate department. With their professionalism efficiency and commitment to guest satisfaction the Room Attendant plays a crucial role in creating a positive and memorable experience for guests during their stay in the hotel.
Qualifications :
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Physical Stamina: Room Attendants are often required to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects pushing carts and standing for long periods. Good physical health and stamina are important for this role.
- Attention to Detail: Strong eye for cleanliness room setup accuracy and identifying maintenance needs.
- Time Management Skills: Able to prioritize tasks and complete assignments efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Professionalism and Integrity: Room Attendants should maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to high ethical standards. They should respect guest privacy handle guest belongings with care and follow hotel policies and procedures.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Room Attendants often work as part of a team collaborating with other housekeeping staff supervisors and maintenance personnel. They should be able to communicate and cooperate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
