Job Summary

The QMS Engineer at Jabil Inc. is responsible for developing implementing and maintaining the companys Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards regulatory requirements and customer specifications. This role plays a critical part in driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Job Responsibilities

* Develop implement and maintain Jabils Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 AS9100 ISO 13485 or other applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Lead and support internal and external audits (e.g. customer regulatory certification bodies) to assess QMS effectiveness and ensure compliance.
* Manage the corrective and preventive action (CAPA) process including investigation of non-conformances root cause analysis and verification of effectiveness.
* Facilitate and lead risk management activities including FMEA development and risk assessment.
* Develop implement and maintain quality documentation including procedures work instructions forms and quality records.
* Provide training and guidance to employees on QMS principles processes and tools.
* Monitor and analyze quality performance data identify trends and recommend improvements.
* Participate in design reviews and new product introduction (NPI) activities to ensure quality requirements are incorporated.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. engineering manufacturing supply chain) to resolve quality issues and drive process improvements.
* Support supplier quality management activities including audits and performance monitoring.

Job Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality Management or a related technical field.
* 3 years of experience in a Quality Management System (QMS) role within a manufacturing or electronics environment.
* Strong knowledge and practical experience with ISO 9001 is essential; experience with AS9100 ISO 13485 or other industry-specific QMS standards is a significant advantage.
* Proven experience leading and participating in internal and external audits.
* Demonstrated proficiency in root cause analysis CAPA processes and problem-solving methodologies (e.g. 8D 5 Whys).
* Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
* Strong analytical and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) are highly desirable.
