Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Lead manage and direct all production activities to achieve volume quality cost and timeline targets

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and design and implement continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Team Development: Develop and nurture a solid team with 4 direct reports and a total of over 20 members. This includes coaching mentoring and performance management to ensure each team member reaches their full potential.

  • Quality & HSE Management: Ensure all production processes comply with company quality standards and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) regulations to achieve a zero-accident record.

  • Analysis and Reporting: Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any production issues and prepare regular performance reports for senior management.

  • Budget Management: Manage the production departments operational budget effectively and efficiently.

Required Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Industry Experience: A minimum of 8 years of work experience in the palm oil production industry with at least 3 of those years in a leadership or managerial role.

  • Global Background: Possess a work background from multinational (MNC) palm oil company and be accustomed to international work standards.

  • Proven Track Record: A demonstrable track record of successfully leading Continuous Improvement projects that have had a significant impact on production efficiency or quality.

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding and practical experience in applying Lean Manufacturing Shop Floor Leadership and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.

  • Leadership Scale: Experience managing a team with a similar structure (minimum of 4 direct reports and 20 total members).

  • Transparency: Willing and able to explain any gaps in employment history transparently during the interview process.
