Job Summary
Work Description:
- Supervise daily metallurgical operations of the CIL (Carbon-in-Leach) gold processing plant ensuring optimal recovery rates and throughput targets
- Monitor and control leaching adsorption elution and gold room processes to maximize extraction efficiency
- Analyze plant metallurgical performance data and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce gold losses
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for process deviations reagent consumption issues and equipment performance bottlenecks
- Coordinate with Process Plant Maintenance and Laboratory teams to align on production and quality targets
- Ensure compliance with ICMC (International Cyanide Management Code) standards across all cyanide handling and CIL operations
- Supervise and mentor metallurgists plant operators and technical staff building team capability
- Prepare metallurgical reports budgets and forecasts for management review
- Implement and enforce HSE protocols specific to cyanide-based processing operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering Extractive Metallurgy or related field
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in gold processing plants with proven hands-on CIL/CIP circuit expertise
- Strong technical knowledge of leaching kinetics carbon adsorption elution and electrowinning processes
- ICMC certification or demonstrated working knowledge of cyanide management compliance
- Prior supervisory or superintendent-level experience in a mining processing plant
- Solid understanding of plant metallurgical accounting and reconciliation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for process optimization
- Willingness to work on a mining site rotation schedule
