Job Summary
Work Description:
- Receive inspect and verify incoming materials spare parts and equipment against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Manage warehouse inventory system — accurate stock recording bin/location management and cycle counts.
- Issue materials to site/operations teams based on approved requisitions maintaining proper documentation and traceability.
- Monitor stock levels and flag minimum/maximum thresholds to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate with Procurement on material shortages backorders and delivery scheduling.
- Maintain proper storage conditions and organization for different material categories (consumables spare parts hazardous materials etc.).
- Conduct periodic stock opname (physical inventory count) and reconcile discrepancies against system records.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards for material handling storage and warehouse safety.
- Prepare and maintain warehouse reports — inbound/outbound logs stock aging and material usage reports.
- Support timely material availability to avoid production or project delays.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–4 years' experience in materials control warehouse management or inventory/logistics ideally in a mining plant or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with inventory/ERP systems (e.g. SAP MM Oracle or similar warehouse management software).
- Working knowledge of stock control principles — FIFO/FEFO min-max levels cycle counting.
- Basic understanding of procurement and logistics workflows.
- Physically able to handle warehouse operations including standing lifting and site-based work.
- Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and reporting discipline.
- Willing to be based on-site with rotation schedule as required.
