Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct structural analysis and design using engineering software primarily STAAD Pro.

Prepare detailed design calculations technical reports and specifications.

Prepare structural sketches using AutoCAD to be developed by drafter.

Review structural drawings prepared by drafter.

Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international codes and standards.

Collaborate and coordinate design efforts with other engineering disciplines.

Participate in site visits for data collection inspections or addressing construction queries as needed.

Review vendor submissions and shop drawings for structural integrity.

Contribute to the development of project proposals and technical documentation.

Potentially provide guidance or mentorship to junior engineers.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Ocean Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years (preferred in structural design of marine structures)

Software Proficiency:

- Proven expertise in structural analysis and design software particularly STAAD Pro.

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and reviewing drawings.

Technical Skills:

- Solid understanding of fundamental structural engineering principles.

- Familiarity with common structural materials (steel concrete etc.).

- Ability to apply relevant design codes and standards effectively.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Language Skills: good command of both written and spoken English.

Have a SKK Ahli Madya Dermaga (preferred)
