As Manufacturing Engineer Specialist for Machining provides technical procedural design and administrative support. The purpose of the role is to enable aggressive production to qualify first run product and maintain high standards of quality traceability and compliance.
This position will work closely and develop strong relationships with all engineering disciplines production planners production leaders technicians and subject matter experts across a range of departments to enable effective manufacturing support and delivery of projects.
A Lead Manufacturing Engineer has the scope to perform independent engineering as allocated and may have product ownership as a responsible engineer. Risk cost or quality-based decisions are escalated or reviewed as part of the workflows and NCRs from the judgement of the Engineer.
In this role you will be responsible for-
Having role as a leader for small group Manufacturing Engineers (3-4 people)
3 years experience with quality management systems ISO 90001:2015
Strong communicator with proven ability to deliver KPls with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated team.
Can-do approach and flexibility to thrive around growing teams and processes.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Experience to provide production routing is preferred

To be successful in this role you will:
- Require bachelors degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering Mechatronics Engineering or related field
- Have role as a leader for small group Manufacturing Engineers (3-4 people)
- 3 years experience with quality management systems ISO 90001:2015
- Strong communicator with proven ability to deliver KPls with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated team.
- Can-do approach and flexibility to thrive around growing teams and processes.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Experience to provide production routing is preferred.
- 6 years experience with Engineering project management and/or production/process engineering ideally in a Machine Shop environment
- Hands-on technical experience debugging complex systems within a Manufacturing environment
- Demonstratable knowledge of GD&T and interpreting technical drawings.
- Experience with CAD/CAM/CAE Systems NX Siemens is preferrable
- Expertise to evaluate cutting tools and workholding in machining
- Experience with ERP/PLM Systems - Siemens Team Centre & Oracle are preferrable
- Have understanding for API 6A & API 17D are preferrable
- Knowledge of production quality metrics
- Experience transitioning products from prototype to production (Assisting NPI engineers via DFMEA and PFMEA)
- Installation Qualification (IQ) / Operational Qualification (OQ) / Performance Qualification (PQ) process driven for project completion
- Practical Problem Solving (PPS) orientation
- Strongly implementation of Lean Manufacturing green belt certification is preferred
- Implementation of large capital projects into a production environment.
