Job Summary
Job Descriptions:
- Act as the company's primary liaison with government stakeholders at national provincial and district/regency level including the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) Ministry of Investment/BKPM and local Pemda.
- Manage the end-to-end permitting and licensing process including IUP AMDAL and other mining-related approvals ensuring renewals and compliance obligations are met on schedule.
- Track and interpret regulatory developments (UU Minerba PP Permen ESDM) and brief senior management on their operational and strategic implications.
- Build and sustain relationships with DPRD members local government officials and community leaders across Ring 1 and Ring 2 areas surrounding the mine site.
- Lead or support negotiations on land acquisition compensation and community agreements on behalf of the company.
- Coordinate CSR and community development programs so they align with government priorities and support PROPER performance ratings.
- Develop government relations strategy briefing papers and stakeholder reports for senior management and the board.
- Manage stakeholder engagement and communication during operational disputes protests or community grievances.
- Represent the company in industry associations (e.g. IMA APBI) on regulatory and policy advocacy matters.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory reports and filings including RKAB and other licensing obligations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law Political Science Public Administration Mining Engineering or a related field; a relevant Master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in government relations external affairs or public affairs with at least 5 years in the mining or natural resources industry.
- Established network with ESDM provincial and district Pemda DPRD and related ministries and agencies.
- Solid working knowledge of Indonesian mining regulation including UU Minerba IUP AMDAL RKAB and TKDN track record managing permitting processes and land/community negotiations in a mining or extractive-industry setting.
- Strong negotiation diplomacy and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate across government community and corporate interests.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English both written and spoken.
- Willing to be based at or travel frequently to the mine site (North Sulawesi) as operationally required.
- Sound crisis management and public communication capability under pressure.
- High personal integrity and the judgment to navigate complex political and regulatory environments.
