Banquet Operations Manager
Job Summary
The Banquet Operations Manager is responsible for planning organizing and overseeing all banquet and event operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality. This role leads the banquet team in delivering seamless execution of meetings conferences weddings social events and VIP functions ensuring operational excellence service quality and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan coordinate and supervise all banquet operations ensuring events are executed according to established standards and guest expectations.
- Ensure banquet venues are properly prepared including room setup table arrangements equipment and amenities in accordance with event orders and brand standards.
- Monitor service delivery throughout each event to ensure consistency efficiency and personalized guest experiences.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly ensuring effective service recovery.
- Prepare duty rosters manpower planning and scheduling based on business levels.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify development opportunities for team members.
- Monitor banquet labor costs productivity and operating expenses.
- Control inventory of banquet equipment operating supplies and linens.
- Support budget preparation and achieve departmental financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations hygiene standards occupational health and safety policies and local regulations.
- Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure all departments are aligned.
- Prepare operational reports productivity reports attendance records and event summaries.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management Hotel Management Tourism or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Food & Beverage Operations including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing banquet operations within a luxury five-star hotel.
- Proven experience managing large-scale conferences weddings gala dinners state functions and high-profile VIP events.
- Excellent leadership coaching and team development skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Financial acumen including labor cost control budgeting and productivity management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel management systems (e.g. Opera Cloud Delphi POS systems).
- Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards.
- Flexible to work evenings weekends and public holidays as required by business demands.
- Passionate about delivering memorable luxury guest experiences.
- Positive attitude with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
- Certification in Food Safety HACCP or hospitality leadership programs is preferred.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset.
