Assistant Chief Engineering

• Supporting the Chief Engineer in leading the Engineering department and daily operations across the hotel.
• Overseeing preventative maintenance programs and the performance of building services plant and equipment.
• Leading coaching and developing the engineering team while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Managing maintenance priorities contractor works and compliance requirements to the highest standard.
• Supporting capital projects sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Working closely with operational departments to ensure a seamless luxury guest experience.
• Acting as the department leader in the absence of the Chief Engineer and providing hands-on technical support when required.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience in a hotel engineering facilities management or maintenance leadership role ideally within a five star hotel premium hospitality environment or large-scale facility.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing engineering teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong technical knowledge across building services including HVAC electrical plumbing and general maintenance systems.
• Sound understanding of preventative maintenance programs contractor management WHS and statutory compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong relationships across departments.
• A proactive solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
