About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Windows Server Administrator to join our Infrastructure Services team and support enterprise-scale business-critical Windows environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windows Server administration patch management troubleshooting performance optimization automation and infrastructure operations.

You will be responsible for maintaining the stability security availability and performance of Windows Server platforms while working closely with Network Storage Security Virtualization and Application teams to deliver reliable IT services.

Key Responsibilities

Windows Server Administration

  • Administer and support Windows Server environments (and 2022).
  • Perform server provisioning configuration upgrades and decommissioning activities.
  • Manage Windows Server roles and features including File Services IIS and Remote Services.
  • Ensure adherence to server build standards hardening guidelines and operational procedures.

Patch & Vulnerability Management

  • Plan coordinate and execute monthly patching activities using WSUS/SCCM/MECM.
  • Perform patch validation rollback planning and compliance reporting.
  • Support vulnerability remediation activities in collaboration with Security teams.
  • Ensure systems remain compliant with organizational and regulatory standards.

Monitoring & Performance Management

  • Monitor server health availability and performance.
  • Analyze CPU memory disk and network utilization trends.
  • Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support monitoring improvements alert tuning and operational reporting.

Incident & Problem Management

  • Investigate and resolve Windows Server incidents and service disruptions.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or major issues.
  • Participate in major incident management and outage resolution activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution and service restoration.

Storage & File Services

  • Manage NTFS permissions file shares storage allocation and disk capacity.
  • Support storage expansion performance troubleshooting and housekeeping activities.
  • Coordinate with Storage teams for SAN backup and capacity-related requirements.

Automation & Operational Excellence

  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for operational automation.
  • Automate routine administrative and reporting tasks.
  • Improve operational efficiency through standardization scripting and process optimization.
  • Maintain documentation SOPs and knowledge articles.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with Security Network Storage VMware and Application teams.
  • Participate in change management release activities and CAB reviews.
  • Support 24x7 operations through rotational on-call and shift support when required.
