Job Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Principal in planning implementing and evaluating the schools academic programs and policies.
- Supervise and mentor teaching staff conducting regular performance appraisals and facilitating professional development.
- Oversee curriculum development ensuring alignment with national standards and the schools vision.
- Manage daytoday administrative duties including timetabling resource allocation and disciplinary procedures.
- Lead initiatives to enhance student achievement wellbeing and cocurricular activities.
- Coordinate parentteacher interactions addressing concerns and fostering community engagement.
- Assist in budgeting financial planning and resource procurement in collaboration with the schools management team.
- Ensure compliance with education regulations health and safety guidelines and accreditation requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement through datadriven decision making and strategic planning.
- Represent the school at external events seminars and educational forums as needed.
Essential Qualifications
- Masters degree in Education Educational Administration or a related field.
- Relevant teaching certification and registration with the appropriate state education authority.
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design assessment strategies and pedagogical best practices.
- Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English and the regional language of instruction.
Desired Experience
- Minimum of 810 years of teaching experience preferably at the secondary level.
- At least 35 years of experience in a senior leadership role (e.g. Head of Department Assistant Principal or similar).
- Proven track record of improving academic outcomes and managing school operations.
- Experience with digital learning platforms and school management software.
