Vice President – BXCI Operational Risk & Third-Party Risk Management

Role overview:
- The Vice President Operational Risk & Third-Party Risk Management will lead the centralized operational risk execution framework supporting the Enterprise Risk function across multiple business units including Liquid Credit Private Credit and Multi Asset Credit / Investment & Asset Based Credit.
- This individual will partner closely with onshore business-aligned Risk Leads who maintain primary accountability for risk oversight within their respective businesses. The VP will be responsible for driving consistent execution governance reporting and operationalization of the enterprise operational risk framework through a scalable offshore operating model supported by a Center of Excellence (COE) team.
- The role will oversee core operational risk management activities including incident management key risk indicators (KRIs) data quality and governance issues risk and control assessments remediation tracking third-party risk coordination and enterprise risk reporting. The individual will play a critical role in establishing process discipline governance standards and management reporting across the risk organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Risk Framework Leadership
- Lead day-to-day execution of the enterprise operational risk framework.
- Drive consistency standardization and quality across operational risk processes and deliverables.
- Partner with onshore Risk Leads to support business-specific risk oversight activities while maintaining enterprise-wide governance standards.
- Develop scalable operating procedures governance routines and risk management processes.
Third-Party Risk Management
- Support risk assessments due diligence processes issue tracking remediation activities and ongoing monitoring.
- Maintain governance reporting and escalation processes related to third-party risks.
Risk & Control Assessments
- Oversee execution of Risk and Control Matrices (RACMs).
- Ensure risks controls and mitigation activities are documented consistently across business units.
- Drive identification of control gaps and remediation plans.
- Coordinate periodic control testing and evidence collection activities with the COE team.
Incident & Issue Management
- Manage operational incident intake triage escalation root cause analysis and reporting processes.
- Oversee issue management and remediation tracking across identified operational risk events and control deficiencies.
- Ensure timely escalation of material risks and overdue remediation activities.
- Support governance committees and management reporting related to incidents and issues.
KRIs Metrics & Reporting
- Lead development and maintenance of enterprise KRIs operational risk metrics and dashboards.
- Establish reporting standards and governance routines across businesses.
- Identify emerging trends concentrations and operational risk themes through data analysis and reporting.
- Prepare materials for senior management risk committees and governance forums.
Team Leadership & Operating Model Management
- Lead and develop an offshore operational risk execution team and associated COE resources.
- Establish clear roles service delivery standards and performance expectations across the offshore model.
- Drive operational excellence continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
- Foster strong collaboration with onshore stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Risk Management or related field.
- 10 years of experience in operational risk management enterprise risk internal controls audit or related disciplines within financial services or asset management.
- Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks governance practices and control environments.
- Experience managing or coordinating third-party risk management programs.
- Demonstrated experience with RACMs incidents KRIs issue management and remediation governance.
- Experience operating within global delivery or offshore/onshore operating models preferred.
- Strong project management organizational and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical communication and executive reporting capabilities.
- Experience working across complex investment management businesses preferred including credit and alternative investment platforms. Demonstrated strong time management by prioritizing work effectively and delivering high-quality outputs within agreed deadlines
