UNIX Admin

Experience in Install and configure Linux servers on physical and virtual machines.

Experience in Create and manage VMs installation of VM tools and custom virtual hardware provisioning as per guest OS.

Primary responsible of Unix administrative activities server configuration patching knowledge.

Experience in Provision and maintain Linux servers in production and development environments.

Develop optimizations for system performance and future scalability.

Experience in Support/Administration related to Information and Data Security

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of UNIX/Linux shell scripting.

Experience in System administration in Linux with focus on user administration LDAP Kerberos authentication and implementation.

Troubleshooting on filesystem space issues.

Able to handle production outages and resolve the issues within the defined SLA.

Receiving and handling requests for service following agreed procedures. Promptly allocating calls as appropriate.

Ensure that the tickets are raised updated and closed within SLA and ensure timely escalations.

Following up with vendors service providers & partners hardware & software whenever required & resolve issues by minimizing down times.

Generation of weekly & monthly reports

Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities while staying a team player.

Maintain accurate documentation on systems applications processes and hardware configurations.

Experience in Good knowledge on ITIL process (Change Incidents management)

Excellent written and oral communication skills fluent in English.

Experience in handling Incident Management/Production Outage / Client Calls

Experience in Problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities. Interested and experienced in Server/ Application/ Job Log Analysis and RCA

Strong understanding of Unix operating systems (e.g. Linux Solaris AIX) and related technologies
