UK Accounting Executive
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Executive to support accounting and bookkeeping functions for UK-based clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records processing transactions performing reconciliations and assisting in financial reporting and compliance activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to UK accounting practices and cloud-based accounting systems.
Maintain accurate bookkeeping and accounting records for assigned clients.
Process sales invoices purchase invoices receipts payments and journal entries.
Perform bank supplier and customer account reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Support VAT return preparation and compliance-related activities.
Maintain and update accounting records in cloud accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks Online.
Coordinate with clients and internal teams to obtain accounting information and resolve queries.
Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance.
Support payroll processing and other finance-related activities as required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce Accounting Finance or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in accounting bookkeeping or finance operations.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Hands-on experience with Xero QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience working with UK accountancy firms BPOs KPOs or outsourcing environments.
Knowledge of UK accounting practices and compliance requirements.
Understanding of VAT payroll processing and month-end close procedures.
Experience handling multiple client accounts simultaneously.
Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail.
Exposure to UK accounting standards and international clients.
