Established in 2000 the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies advanced materials and additive manufacturing.

Role Overview:

• The Intern will support engineering and analytical projects related to workflow automation and thermal systems analysis for NGT.
• This role will involve applying mathematical methods engineering fundamentals and digital tools to improve processes used to create surfaces or models suitable for thermal system analysis.
• The intern will work on scoped projects that support technical problem-solving process efficiency and team objectives while gaining hands-on experience in an engineering environment.
• Support projects involvingworkflow automationfor NGT engineering processes with a focus on improving efficiency repeatability and data quality.
• Applymathematical and analytical methodsto help develop or refine surface/model generation approaches for use inthermal systems analysis.
• Assist in evaluating organizing and processing technical data to support modeling analysis and engineering decisions.
• Use tools such asExcel engineering software scripting tools or other analysis platformsto support data analysis and process improvement activities.
• Work with engineers and cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into practical workflow solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in aBachelors or Masters degree programin Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Applied Mathematics Computer Science Engineering Technology or a related technical field.
• Completed coursework or demonstrated interest inmathematics numerical methods heat transfer thermodynamics CAD/modeling or engineering analysis.
