Job Summary
Quick Commerce demands a fundamentally different approach: frugal vendor-managed infrastructure that launches at unprecedented velocity while maintaining enterprise-grade availability. As the countrys single-threaded infrastructure owner you will define the network and device strategy that enables Amazon to launch and operate hundreds of sites at speed and at a fraction of traditional cost. You will own the country-level technology roadmap drive vendor relationships govern availability and financial outcomes and partner directly with senior business operations leadership. Quick Commerce is the fastest growth vector for Amazon Stores and team NANO (Network and Assets for Nimble Operations) shapes its technology backbone.
Key job responsibilities
The NANO TIPM owns the country-level infrastructure strategy defining architecture standards and readiness criteria against which all site launches execute. For network infrastructure the TIPM owns end-to-end scope from vendor selection through SLA governance through financial outcome. For End-User Equipment (associate-facing devices such as scanners workstations and printers) the TIPM owns identification and recommendation while partnering with Device Tech for certification. The roles responsibilities fall into four themes Theme 1 sets the framework Theme 2 executes Theme 3 governs and Theme 4 feeds business needs back into Theme 1.
Theme 1 Strategy Vendor Management and Contract Governance: Own the countrys network technology roadmap drive vendor selection end-to-end and identify end user devices meeting regional cost and performance targets across all applicable site types.
Theme 2 Site Launch and Network Deployment: Define playbooks architecture standards and deployment sequencing for the country stepping in at escalation points where decisions carry fleet-wide implications beyond execution-level authority.
Theme 3 Operations Excellence Governance and Financial Accountability: Own network availability outcomes device fleet health and financial performance across the countrys fleet driving vendor performance through structured governance cadences.
Theme 4 Partnership with Business Operations Leadership: Translate the countrys business growth priorities into infrastructure strategy surfacing performance insights capacity risks and cost tradeoffs that inform decisions across the region.
A day in the life
You own the network and device technology infrastructure of Quick Commerce in India the fastest growth vector for Amazon Stores. Your day moves between defining regional network strategy that scales from hundreds to thousands of sites steering technology capability investments toward fleet-scale readiness evaluating transitions that deliver cost reduction versus legacy models and presenting infrastructure roadmaps to senior business operations leadership. You make architecture and vendor decisions that determine availability cost trajectory and launch velocity for an entire geography
About the team
The NANO (Network and Assets for Nimble Operations) team sits within Operations Infrastructure Services and exists to solve a singular challenge: enabling Amazon Operations to launch and operate thousands of small-footprint sites at speed at scale and at a fraction of traditional infrastructure cost. The team owns the full infrastructure lifecycle network strategy vendor contracts site launches incident management and financial governance across India United States Middle East United Kingdom and Japan. Quick Commerce dark stores represent the overwhelming majority of the use cases today scaling from 500 sites to 3000 by 2028 with the enablement model extending to every emerging no-capex site type in Amazons portfolio.
- 5 years of program management or technical project management experience
- 7 years of IT infrastructure management incident management or related experience
- Knowledge of information technology infrastructure domains such as compute server platforms storage server platforms server components network devices technologies and architectures IT service delivery principles and best practices
- Experience managing conflict escalations negotiating compromise influencing others and problem solving with engineering teams
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results or experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience managing large-scale projects from end to end
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in a technology field
