Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Plan prepare and deliver engaging English language lessons for classes VIXin line with the schools curriculum and CBSE guidelines.
- Foster a love for literature reading and writing through interactive activities debates dramatics and projectbased learning.
- Assess student performance regularly using formative and summative evaluations; maintain accurate records of grades and progress.
- Provide individualized support and remedial instruction to students who require additional assistance.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers department heads and senior leadership to integrate crossdisciplinary initiatives.
- Participate actively in cocurricular and extracurricular programs such as literary clubs debates dramatics and interschool competitions.
- Maintain a disciplined inclusive and safe classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and respectful dialogue.
- Contribute to school development programmes parentteacher meetings and continuous professional development workshops.
Essential Qualifications
- Graduate degree (B.A.) in English or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Teacher Training Certificate (. or .) recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
- Professional teaching license (if applicable) as per State Education Department norms.
- Strong command over English languageboth written and spoken.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and classroom management skills.
Desired Experience
- Minimum 24 years of teaching experience at the secondarylevel preferably in CBSE schools.
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate innovative pedagogical methods digital tools and experiential learning.
- Experience in organizing and judging literary debate or dramatics events is a plus.
- Track record of improving student academic performance and fostering a love for literature.
