TGT Biology

• Plan deliver and assess Biology lessons in accordance with the school curriculum and best pedagogical practices.
• Maintain accurate academic records including attendance grades and progress reports.
• Develop administer and evaluate assessments ( formative & summative ) to gauge student understanding.
• Design and supervise laboratory experiments ensuring safety protocols and equipment maintenance.
• Implement inquirybased and criticalthinking approaches to foster deep conceptual understanding.
• Coordinate coscholastic activities related to biology (e.g. nature clubs science fairs environmental projects).
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to design interdisciplinary projects and curriculum enhancements.
• Utilize educational technology tools for lesson planning delivery and student engagement.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students for exam preparation and overall academic growth.
• Participate in professional development programs staff meetings and school events.
• Maintain classroom discipline and a conducive learning environment through effective classroom management.

• Strong foundation in Biology content knowledge.
• Proficiency in academic record keeping and assessment development.
• Experience with laboratory experiment design safety management and equipment handling.
• Effective classroom management and student mentoring abilities.
• Ability to design collaborative projects and coordinate coscholastic activities.
• Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning platforms.
• Commitment to inquirybased learning critical thinking and curriculum development.

2 to 3 years of teaching experience in Biology at the senior secondary level with demonstrable success in:

• Designing and conducting laboratory sessions.
• Developing assessments and tracking student performance.
• Coordinating extracurricular scientific activities.
• Utilizing digital tools for instruction and assessment.
