We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst with strong Utility / Energy domain expertise to bridge business requirements and technical implementation. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders product owners and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions within Utility Energy and related enterprise platforms. You will be responsible for understanding utility business processes translating
requirements into functional and technical specifications and ensuring alignment between business objectives and system design.

What Will You Be Doing
Requirement Gathering & Analysis
Conduct detailed requirement-gathering sessions with business stakeholders in the Utility / Energy domain.
Analyze business needs and translate them into clear functional and technical requirements.
Domain Analysis (Utility / Energy)
Work on use cases related to Power & Utilities Retail Energy Metering Billing Customer Information Systems (CIS) Outage Management (OMS) Energy Trading or Regulatory Reporting.
Understand end-to-end utility workflows such as customer onboarding billing cycles consumption data settlements and compliance.
Documentation
Create and maintain BRDs FRDs Functional Specifications and User Stories.
Ensure documentation reflects utility-specific business rules and regulatory constraints.
Process Mapping & Improvement
Analyze current-state utility processes and define future-state workflows.
Identify gaps inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
Stakeholder Communication
Act as a liaison between utility business users product teams developers QA and project managers.
Ensure alignment on scope timelines and deliverables.
Solution Design & Collaboration
Work closely with engineering teams to design scalable solutions aligned with utility business requirements.
Ensure solutions are technically feasible and compliant with industry standards.
Testing & Validation
Define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
Participate in UAT validating solutions against utility business needs.
Project & Post-Go-Live Support
Support deployment and post-deployment activities.
Assist in issue triaging and production support for utility applications.
Requirements
What Makes You the Perfect Fit
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Business or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
Hands-on experience working on Utility / Energy domain projects is mandatory.
Technical Skills
Familiarity with SQL Java JavaScript Python or similar technologies.
Experience with JIRA / Azure DevOps (ADO) Confluence or similar tools.
Strong skills in data analysis data modeling and process mapping. Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Business Analysis certifications such as ECBA CBAP PMI-PBA.
Prior experience in Utility Energy Power or related regulated industries.
Exposure to Tolling Collections Finance or Billing systems is an added advantage.
Basic understanding of project management and cross-functional coordination.
