Tech & Digital-Lead Software Engineer-Frontend with A Leading Private Bank

About the Role

Frontend within the Tech & Digital Business Unit you will be responsible for building user interfaces across web mobile and other devices. This role involves integrating application frontends with application business layers and API connectors as well as optimizing applications for speed scalability reliability and security.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and deliver new features in complex digital products using an agile development process.
- Install configure and maintain libraries required for application development.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in UI Development Frameworks.
- Collaborate with Backend Developers to ensure the smooth functioning of the software.
- Implement debug tools to quickly analyze bottlenecks.
- Work with teams on Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
- Create reusable frontend components to reduce turnaround time (TAT) in the delivery of new requirements.
- Efficiently implement concepts of asynchronous request handling partial page updates and AJAX.
- Understand and integrate available APIs RESTful microservices and other services from the enterprise repository.
- Implement secure coding practices to pass vulnerability and related assessments.
- Contribute to Low-Level Design (LLD) documents for the UI Development Section.
- Design Unit Test Cases for standalone UI testing.
- Build reusable artifacts and toolkits.
- Perform peer reviews and identify code vulnerabilities or areas for improvement.
- Understand cross-browser compatibility issues and implement workarounds.
- Work comfortably in an agile development organization with an established DevSecOps process.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or a related area.

Experience Required

- 11-14 years of total experience.
- 10 years of experience as a frontend developer.
- 3 years of experience as a frontend developer for an engineering team within fast-paced sprint cycles.

Key Skills

- Master of UX guidelines and key design principles.
- Technical expertise in building digital products and browser-based debugging.
- Master of HTML5.0 CSS and JavaScript.
- Expert in frontend programming languages and frameworks specifically React and Material UI.
- Experience in responsive and adaptive design and integration with APIs.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools/software.
- Knowledge of OWASP Guidelines and vulnerabilities.
- Bonus: experience/exposure in developing mobile apps (hybrid and/or native).
