Nature of The Job




  • The role of the Team Leader TListhe first level of organizational hierarchy. The role ofTLis to supporta fullyaccountable managementofthe Associate Managerdealing with an otherwise excessive burden of oversight and control.

  • Theroleistoassistthe level above aiding those at that level to manage their accountabilities andthe other is to add value to and contribute to the efforts and training of those workingatthe lower level.

  • The TL isthekey advisorto the manager the work planning horizon for this position ranges from a few days to three months.






JobPurpose




  • The purpose of the job is to support theMangerin overseeing team operations and ensuring effective performance of frontline staff. Key responsibilities include assigning andmonitoringtasks conducting performance evaluations providingfeedbackand training andparticipatingin decision-makingregardingstaffing and workflows.

  • The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards enhancing professional skills and contributing to the organizations success by promoting collaboration communicating effectively with theManager and continually striving for team improvement andoptimalperformance.

TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Assigning andmonitoringspecific tasks as directed by theManager

  • Holding regular planning and reporting meetings.

  • Auditing and evaluating the performance of frontline staff.

  • Providing feedback to employees.

  • Conducting induction training serving as theinitialstep in the grievance procedure.

  • Tracking process metrics including productivity quality and turnaround time.

  • Contributing to statistical reports prepared by theManager.

  • Coordinating the Admission Officers work to ensure consistent performance.




DECISION ADVISORY

Assists theManagerin making critical decisions by providing recommendations on:

  • Appointing new team members (with theManagerhaving final decision-making authority or veto power).

  • Assigning specific tasks

  • Conducting appraisals (with theManagerhaving final rating authority and potentially interviewing outliers to ensure consistency and reliability).

  • Initiating transfers (with theManagermaking transfer decisions).

  • Enhancing workflows.




REGULATION & COMPLAINCE

  • Ensures adherence to relevant regulations and accreditation standards:by keeping abreast of institutional policies admission criteria and industry-leading practices.

  • Contributes to the organizations success by:

  • Working efficiently to complete assignments.

  • Providing recommendations to the FLM on task prioritization andoptimalactions.

  • Promptly informing the FLM about successes and any obstacles hindering task completion.

  • Showing readiness for task reassignment or transfer and accepting new assignments.

  • Assistingteam members and fostering collaboration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

Bachelors degree in any discipline or equivalent




ESSENTIAL

SKILLS

  • Proficiencyin MS Office suite.

  • Familiarity with admission policies procedures and relevant technology tools including databases and student information systems or equivalent experience in other industries such as BPO Back Office Banking Back Office KYC Banking Disputes etc.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • Minimumof8-11years of experience in back-office operations of ITES industry (preferably admission processes) with min. 2 years as a Team Lead/ Supervisory role.

  • Hands-on attitude with ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Experience of working in processes highly driven by quality in accuracy
