Job title:Manager / Assistant Manager Indirect & Direct Tax

Location:Mumbai Goregaon

This role will support Tax Compliance & Regulatory Management Litigationworking closely with Finance Legal and business units

Key responsibilities

• GST filings and reconciliations:Prepare review and file periodic GST returns (GSTR-1 GSTR-3B GSTR 6 GSTR-9/9C as applicable); perform GST ledger reconciliations.
• Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM):Identify RCM exposures compute liabilities ensure timely payment and reporting.
• Refunds:Prepare refund claims coordinate documentation follow up with tax consultants for timely processing.
• Direct tax support:Assist in preparation and filing of income tax returns TDS compliance and tax provisioning.
• Tax audits and notices:Support statutory and tax audits; draft responses to notices and coordinate with external counsel/consultants.
• Regulatory monitoring:Keep updated with changes in indirect and direct tax laws; implement process changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
• Crossfunctional collaboration:Liaise with finance legal procurement and business teams to optimize tax outcomes.
• Global Tax: Support in compliance and litigation of US/ UK Taxes
• Transfer Pricing/ International Tax: Support in preparation of Transfer pricing related compliances litigation and advisory

Required qualifications and skills

• Qualification:CA with strong tax experience especially GST.
• Experience:Strong experience in corporate/ indirect tax or CA firm handling GST RCM refunds and tax audits.
• Technical skills:Proficient with GSTN portal ERP Excel (pivot tables reconciliations).
• Soft skills: Excellent communication stakeholder management and ability to explain tax impact and requirements to nontax teams.
• Attributes:Detailoriented deadline driven and able to work under audit timelines.
• Good to have skill: Transfer Pricing and International tax skill/ US Tax knowledge
