Sustainability Consultant I (or) II

We are seeking someone who prides themselves on delivering technically excellent work with strong analytical and reporting standards and who embraces innovative approaches to sustainability this role you will work on Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) Embodied / Whole-life Carbon studies and Sustainability certification deliverables (LEED BREEAM etc) supporting low-carbon strategies across infrastructure and built environment projects. You will contribute to data collection modelling and interpretation and help embed whole-life carbon principles into design and procurement decisions.

You will collaborate with a wider team of professionals across disciplines to provide integrated sustainability solutions to our clients.

• Deliver and support LCAs and Embodied / Whole-life Carbon studies including data collection validation and benchmarking.
• Prepare auditable LCA reports and Sustainability Documentation for certifications (LEED/BREEAM and similar).
• Use LCA tools integrate BIM data and manage datasets for robust models.
• Apply PAS 2080 RICS WLCA and green building standards.
• Review Carbon Factors/EPDs and advise on Low-Carbon Procurement.
• Document technical notes and contribute to bids and client presentations.
• Coordinate with Architects Engineers and procurement teams to embed low-carbon design early.

Ideally you would have the following qualifications and/or attributes:

• Bachelors or Masters in Civil / Environmental / Mechanical Engineering / Building Services / Architecture or related discipline.
• Relevant credentials (e.g. LEED GA/AP BREEAM/WELL Assessor) are a plus.
• 2-8 years experience in LCA/embodied carbon for AEC/infrastructure projects; familiarity with tools (One Click LCA eTool Tally LCA SimaPro or Similar).
• Working knowledge of ISO 14040/14044 EN 15978 EN 15804.
• Sustainability accreditation (LEED AP/GA or equivalent) preferred international exposure a plus.
• Ability to interpret EPDs and advise on low-carbon alternatives.
• Strong data skills (Excel QA/QC quantity take-off/BIM exports).
• Excellent technical writing and stakeholder communication.
• Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI Tabula Spotfire or similar).
• Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI Tableau) and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and advising on low-carbon strategies.
• Exposure to AI-enabled workflows and automation tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot Python scripting) to enhance data analysis sustainability reporting and decision support.

• RICS WLCA 2nd edition (global) (effective 1 July 2024)
• PAS 2080:2023 (whole life carbon management in buildings & infra)
• LEED; BREEAM Infrastructure/CEEQUAL
• One Click LCA workflows & BIM integrations (or equivalent)
