Your Role

Thornton Tomasetti (TT) is seeking an engineer or structural steel detailer with computer programming experience to join the CORE studio Application Development team a dedicated software development team within CORE focused on building custom applications for TT and our clients. Youll be a key part of the team supporting the numerous project leaders and working closely with development teams within CORE studio. The goal of the position will be to develop and maintain Tekla Structures plugins tools and customizations that provide value to TTs practices and technical staff. Youll need to be highly motivated and have demonstrated professional experience in developing novel computational solutions to engineering and/or design problems including engineering calculations and reporting automation. You will work in a highly creative and collaborative environment as you support build and maintain applications for the broader staff.

What Youll Bring

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in civil/structural engineering.

• Programming experience using C#.

• Proficiency with Tekla Structures Revit Rhino & Grasshopper and their respective APIs & SDKs.

• At least 1-5 years professional experience as a practicing engineer structural steel detailer or designer in the AEC industry.

• Schedule flexibility to maximize alignment with American time zones.

Additional Skills

• Understanding of web development.

• Knowledge of SAP2000 ETABS SAFE RAM Concept.

• Familiarity with WPF MVVM and Material Design is a plus.

• Experience with version control (Git).

• Experience with Virtual Design and Construction.
