Job Summary:

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer for our Pune-based GRIDScaler team.

Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain software libraries and features inGolang Python and Rustto enhance the GRIDScaler product.
• Build and maintainCLI and REST API interfacesfor internal and customer-facing tools.
• Develop and integratetelemetry observability and monitoring solutionsto improve product reliability and customer support.
• Write and maintainunit tests functional tests and automation scriptsto ensure robust deliverables.
• Collaborate with Engineering Managers and a geographically distributed team to understand requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.
• Work with QA and DevOps teams to configure and maintain theJenkins-based build and CI/CD pipelines.
• Assist in debugging and resolvingcustomer escalations including performance and stability issues.
• Contribute to product documentation and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science Computer Engineering or equivalent degree/experience.
• 7 yearsof experience working inLinux system environments with a solid understanding ofLinux internals.
• 5 yearsof experience inPythonandGolangdevelopment;Rustexperience strongly preferred.
• 3 yearsof experience withenterprise-class or HPC storage systemsand/or distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience buildingtelemetry and monitoring tools(e.g. Prometheus Grafana OpenTelemetry custom monitoring agents).
• Strong experience developing and maintainingcommand-line tools and REST APIs.
• Familiarity withCI/CD systemssuch as Jenkins GitLab CI or similar.
• Knowledge ofparallel file systems particularlyIBM Spectrum Scale (GPFS)orLustre is highly preferred.
• Experience withbash Lua and automation scriptingis a plus.
• Prior exposure toAgile software development processes.
• Strong debugging troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex distributed environments.
• Excellent time management communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced globally distributed team.
