Target Human Resources plays a critical role in building the high-performing diverse and engaged teams that power Targets strategy and guest experience. Supporting team members across stores supply chain and headquarters HR serves as a strategic partner to the businessshaping organizational capability strengthening leadership and creating an environment where team members can grow and thrive.
Within Human Resources Talent Acquisition is responsible for identifying engaging and bringing exceptional talent to Target. Our recruiters combine deep business understanding talent-market intelligence and recruiting expertise to help leaders make informed talent decisions.
We own the candidate experience from initial engagement through offer acceptance and onboarding while serving as ambassadors for Targets employer brand. Through proactive talent engagement and meaningful candidate relationships we communicate what makes Target a distinctive place to build a career.
As a Senior Recruiter you will lead end-to-end talent acquisition strategies for complex high-priority and business-critical hiring needs across assigned client groups. You will operate as a trusted talent advisor to business leaders and HR partners translating business priorities and workforce requirements into effective recruiting strategies.
You will bring a strong understanding of external talent markets sourcing channels and candidate behavior to identify and engage high-caliber talent. Using recruiting data market intelligence and talent insights you will influence hiring decisions anticipate talent needs and continuously improve recruiting outcomes.
Success in this role requires a combination of strategic thinking consultative partnership disciplined execution and strong candidate advocacy. You will manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while delivering an inclusive consistent and high-quality experience for candidates and hiring teams.
Lead full-cycle recruiting forcomplex and critical roles managing the process from intake and talent-market assessment through sourcing assessment selection offer negotiation and acceptance.
Partner with hiring leaders and HR partners to understand business priorities organizational context capability requirements and workforce plans translating them into actionable recruiting strategies.
Serve as astrategic talent advisorby providing external market intelligence competitive insights talent availability and data-driven recommendations that influence hiring strategies and decisions.
Develop effective offer strategies and lead offer conversations and negotiations balancing candidate expectations internal equity market competitiveness and fiscal responsibility.
Leverage recruiting analytics and funnel dataincluding pipeline health source effectiveness conversion rates time-to-fill and offer acceptanceto identify opportunities mitigate risks and improve recruiting performance.
Develop and maintain external talent networks through professional communities industry events and strategic relationship building to strengthen Targets access to priority talent segments.
Identify opportunities toimprove recruiting processestools and ways of working and lead or contribute to initiatives that enhance Talent Acquisition effectiveness scalability and candidate experience.
Collaborateacross Talent Acquisition and HR teams sharing market intelligence sourcing practices and talent insights that strengthen enterprise recruiting capability.
You bring a strong combination of recruiting expertise business acumen and consultative partnership. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity influencing stakeholders and using data and market insights to drive decisions. You combine a high level of ownership with a strong commitment to candidate experience and recruiting excellence.
You have:
A bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
6 yearsof progressive full-cycle recruiting experience preferably supporting complex hiring within product technology enterprise or similarly scaled organizations.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing proactive sourcing and talent engagement strategies forcompetitive or difficult-to-fill roles.
Strong talent advisory and influencing skills with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively and guide stakeholders toward effective hiring decisions.
Experience leveraging recruiting metrics market intelligence and funnel insights to diagnose challenges and improve hiring outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex searches and competing priorities while maintaining quality responsiveness and attention to detail.
Strong communication storytelling negotiation and relationship-management skills.
A strategic and analytical mindset combined with the ability to translate strategy into disciplined execution.
