Job Summary

This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership:
Lead mentor and manage a diverse engineering team fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture.
Provide guidance and support to team members promoting professional growth and development.
Attending project kick-off meetings and understand the project scope and requirements.
Reviewing the project specification and ensure compliance for the list of deliverables.
Leading the design review and 30% 60% & 90% 3D model reviews to get approvals on the design.
Coordination and attending meetings with end user and the PMC team for resolving the mechanical & piping
related issues.
Attending the punch points and supporting the closure of project.
Delegating work and responsibilities among the team members and actively providing knowledge sharing
sessions/ training sessions amongst the team.
2. Project Oversight:
Oversee the planning execution and completion of engineering projects ensuring adherence to timelines
budgets and quality standards.
Collaborate with project managers architects and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
Supporting construction and commissioning activities by resolving design-related issues during the project
execution phase.
3. Technical Expertise:

Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team ensuring the application of best practices
and innovative solutions.
Stay abreast of industry trends emerging technologies and advancements in water treatment engineering.
Preparing technical documentation including datasheets specifications reports engineering drawings and
calculations.
Preparing pressure drop calculations pipe thickness calculations piping and valve material specification
painting specification.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with other departments including business development project management and
operations to ensure seamless project execution.
Facilitate effective communication and coordination between cross-functional teams.
Liaising with the drafting team to prepare Plot plan/ Equipment layout drawings Civil outline drawings Piping
layout drawings Piping GA drawings Frontal piping drawings Skid piping drawings Tank outline drawings
Vessel outline drawings Pipe support fabrication drawings Isometric drawings and As-built drawings in
compliance with P&ID PFD HFD Vendor drawings and project specification.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including process electrical and civil teams for mitigating the design
issues.
5. Resource Management:
Optimize the allocation and utilization of engineering resources to meet project demands efficiently.
Preparation of bill of quantities for piping valves structural items hardware gaskets.
Ensuring compliance to project schedule project manhours budget and project progress.
Supporting proposal and estimation team with the estimated list of deliverables estimated manhours and
estimated BOQ for the projects.
Resource mapping and resource management for a given project to meet the budget and manhours allotted.
6. Quality Assurance:
Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure engineering designs meet industry standards and
client specifications.
Conduct regular reviews and audits to monitor the quality of engineering deliverables.
Reviewing and evaluating vendor proposals and technical offers for cost-effective equipment selection and
providing technical comparisons through technical bid evaluation (TBE) and providing manufacturing clearances
to the suppliers.
Reviewing of pressure vessel design calculations from PV Elite software and incorporate in the design.
Reviewing of pipe stress analysis design report from Caesar software and optimizing the pipe routing support
locations and support type.
Reviewing of Staad calculations and incorporate in the structural design.

Reviewing the CFD simulation reports and ensuring design optimization.
7. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local and international engineering regulations standards and safety protocols.
Collaborate with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
Liaising with the various stakeholders like end user owners engineer for getting approvals on the material
submittals and drawings.
8. Continuous Improvement:
Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team encouraging the adoption of new
technologies and methodologies.
Identify and implement process optimizations to enhance overall efficiency.
Maintaining a log of risks holds lessons learnt and value engineering.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Masters degree preferred).
Professional engineering license is advantageous.

Experienced in various types of valves for process industries and experienced in the design of a wide range of
metallic and non-metallic piping including Super duplex Duplex Stainless Steel Carbon Steel Ductile Iron GRP
HDPE UPVC & CPVC piping.
Skilled in handling drawings like Plant layouts Civil guide drawings Piping layouts Piping GA Drawings Piping
Isometric Drawings Pipeline profile drawings Tank & Vessel drawings Structural fabrication drawings like
platforms pipe racks skids pipe supports.
Experience in handling 2D drafting software like AutoCAD 3D designs review software like Navisworks Design
software like PV Elite (for pressure vessel design) & Caesar (for pipe stress analysis).
Knowledge of various industrial design codes and material standards like ASME API ISO HIS AWWA & ASTM.


Experienced in handling projects from FEED stage Detail Engineering stage EPC stage till commissioning and
handing over of the project

Demonstrated expertise in water treatment or related industries emphasizing hands-on experience in detailed design
for projects such as Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs) pumping stations Seawater
Reverse Osmosis (SWRO)/Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis (BWRO) plants and Demineralization plants.
Preferred experience in Oil & Gas projects providing an additional advantage.
Proficient in the basic design of pretreatment equipment encompassing Multi Media Filters Ultra Filtration systems
Self-Cleaning Filters and Cartridge Filters.
Competent in the mechanical design of Reverse Osmosis systems.
Skilled in hydraulic studies including pressure drop calculations and pump head calculations.
Possess basic knowledge of Surge Analysis and Stress analysis.
Experienced in piping design for water treatment plants and pumping stations.
Capable of pipeline design for pressurized mains.
Proficient in the design of metallic piping such as Stainless Steel (SS) Super Duplex Stainless Steel (SDSS) Carbon Steel
(CS) Ductile Iron (DI) etc.
Competent in the design of non-metallic piping including Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) High-Density Polyethylene
(HDPE) Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) etc.
