About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Engineer / Assistant Manager - Design with strong expertise in mechanical design and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting production improving manufacturing processes and driving quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide design support by reviewing component designs engineering drawings and manufacturing feasibility.
- Oversee powder coating operations including surface preparation application processes and quality control.
- Optimize CNC VMC machining operations by improving tooling cycle times and machining efficiency.
- Monitor and manage hot forming and heat treatment processes to ensure compliance with material and performance specifications.
- Supervise spinning operations for cylindrical components and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with Production Quality and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity reduce rejections and optimize manufacturing costs.
- Ensure adherence to safety quality and manufacturing standards.
- Support new product development production trials and process validation activities.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience in:
- Powder Coating
- CNC VMC Machining
- Hot Forming
- Heat Treatment
- Spinning Processes
- Ability to read interpret and work with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience in process optimization root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical leadership coordination and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or heavy engineering.
- Knowledge of ISO standards quality systems and manufacturing best practices will be an added advantage.
- Self-driven result-oriented and capable of working effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
