About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Engineer / Assistant Manager - Design with strong expertise in mechanical design and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting production improving manufacturing processes and driving quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide design support by reviewing component designs engineering drawings and manufacturing feasibility.
  • Oversee powder coating operations including surface preparation application processes and quality control.
  • Optimize CNC VMC machining operations by improving tooling cycle times and machining efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage hot forming and heat treatment processes to ensure compliance with material and performance specifications.
  • Supervise spinning operations for cylindrical components and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Production Quality and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity reduce rejections and optimize manufacturing costs.
  • Ensure adherence to safety quality and manufacturing standards.
  • Support new product development production trials and process validation activities.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • Powder Coating
    • CNC VMC Machining
    • Hot Forming
    • Heat Treatment
    • Spinning Processes
  • Ability to read interpret and work with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience in process optimization root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical leadership coordination and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or heavy engineering.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards quality systems and manufacturing best practices will be an added advantage.
  • Self-driven result-oriented and capable of working effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
