Domain expertise includes: Lakehouses data governance and management data engineering analytics SQL AI/ML and public clouds.
Hand-on to guide technical evaluation activities throughout the sales process.
Member of the sales team and lead technical advisor. Work with the DataPelago product team as the customer advocate.
Help build and move prospects through the stages of the sales pipeline converting them into customers.
Design and implement data driven business outcomes using DataPelagos analytic engine on Lakehouse platforms.
Utilizing Lakehouse platforms and the associated Data Governance policies. This requires understanding the Lakehouse and surrounding ecosystem of tools and applications.
Apply Data management lifecycle principles: data modeling ingestion integration and transformation.
Responsibilities will include presentations demos benchmarks and executing proof of concepts which demonstrate the value proposition of superior performance and TCO.
Results and impact:
Become a Trusted Advisor by the customer - Be viewed as an SME for analytics and data engineering on Lakehouse platforms.
Guide customers on effective Data Management and Data Governance best practices.
Lead clients through evaluating and adopting DataPelagos product(s).
Demonstrate the value proposition through measurable performance and TCO advantages over competitors.
Influencing and authoring customer reference architectures to include DataPelago.
Engagement with the customers technical community including external influencers such as Systems Integrators and consultants through workshops demos benchmarks and proof of concepts.
Collaboration and teamwork with other members of the sales and product teams leading to customer wins and expansion.
Mentoring junior Solution Architects to develop and enhance their skills and experience.
Skills and Experience:
Communications effectiveness. An ability to share technical concepts through presentations and white boarding.
Deep domain expertise in Lakehouses (Delta Lake and Iceberg) data engineering analytics SQL AI/ML.
Data Governance and Management experience with the following: Databricks Unity Catalog Delta Live Tables (DLT) Delta Merge Hive Metastore and Data Pipelines.
Architecture design and implementation experience. Real world experience not just theory.
Public Cloud experience (AWS Azure and GCP) including onboarding customers.
Bachelor Degree in computer science Masters preferred.
