About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software QA Engineer (Contractor) to join our dynamic Quality Center of Excellence on a contract this role you will play a key part in ensuring the quality reliability and performance of our industry-leading simulation software products within a multiplatform environment.

You will work closely with product management software development and applications engineering teams bringing a mindset that is efficient collaborative thoughtful and results-driven.

Key Responsibilities

As a Software QA Engineer (Contractor) you will:

• Execute end-to-end QA activities across the software development lifecycle to ensure high product quality and release readiness.
  
• Review requirements user stories and design documents to ensure testability and develop effective test scenarios and automated test suites.
  
• Design and perform manual and automated functional stress and performance testing with clear documentation of results and findings.
  
• Investigate defects perform root cause analysis and provide clear reproduction steps using logs and diagnostic tools.
  
• Collaborate with Development DevOps Product Management and Documentation teams to support quality objectives and timely issue resolution.
  
• Develop scalable test automation for high-performance environments covering complex UI graphics-intensive and engineering workflows using tools such as Pytest Selenium Ranorex Squish Eggplant or similar.
  
• Proactively translate manual test cases into efficient automated scripts to improve coverage speed up feedback cycles while designing tests that effectively validate new and existing functionality.
  
• Promote QA best practices and contribute to continuous improvement across product and test development.
  

Required Qualifications

Were looking for someone who brings:

Education: Bachelors or masters degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field

Experience: 13 years of professional experience in Software Quality Engineering

Domain Knowledge: Exposure to or experience with desktop simulation products such as Simcenter (CAD/CAE software)

Scripting Skills: Proficiency in Python and/or C or similar

Automation Experience: Hands-on experience with frameworks/tools such as Pytest Ranorex Selenium or similar
