Software Engineering IC2

The Windows Connected Experiences team is looking for a highly motivated and innovative Software Engineer to break new ground as we take our products to orders of magnitude higher scale and rock-solid reliability build out the intelligence capabilities to dramatically deepen user engagement and create a great cross-device experience. The team is responsible for connected experiences including Phone Link which enable PC users to access capabilities from their Android and iOS phones.

As part of the platform team you will contribute to the services and connectivity fabric powering connected experiences for millions of Windows users. This position will be responsible for areas related to device pairing and cross device communication including protocol design and implementation security and authentication and integration with cloud services and mobile operating systems.

• Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario.
• Creates implements optimizes debugs refactors and reuses code to establish and improve performance and maintainability effectiveness.
• Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends technical solutions and patterns that will improve the availability reliability efficiency observability and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including but not limited to C C C# Java JavaScript or Python.
  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2 years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including but not limited to C C C# Java JavaScript or Python.
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Experience in DevOps to maintain live services andor application frameworks.
• Cloud and services experience with Azure cloud experience highly desirable.
  • OR Familiarity with building mobile apps using iOS (Swift or Objective-C) or Android (Java or Kotlin) is a bonus!
