Software Engineer ServiceNow Developer (SPM Focus)

About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated ServiceNow Developer with hands-on experience in platform development and exposure to Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing configuring and supporting scalable ServiceNow solutions across core platform modules and SPM applications. This role requires strong technical expertise in ServiceNow development integrations workflow automation and a solid understanding of project portfolio resource and demand management processes.

What youll do:

ServiceNow Platform Development

• Design develop configure and maintain ServiceNow solutions using platform best practices.

• Build and customize applications using App Engine Studio Flow Designer Workflows Business Rules Script Includes UI Policies Client Scripts and ACLs.

• Develop and support ServiceCatalogitems Record Producers Knowledge workflows and automated business processes.

• Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems using REST SOAP APIsIntegration Hub MID Server and web services.

• Perform platform upgrades code reviews defect resolution and technical documentation.

• Optimize application performance maintain data integrity and ensure adherence to ServiceNow development standards.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning design reviews backlog grooming and release management.

Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)

• Configure and enhance ServiceNow SPM modules including:

• Demand Management

• Project Portfolio Management (PPM)

• Agile Development

• Resource Management

• Investment Funding

• Portfolio Planning

• Strategic Planning (good to have)

• Support end-to-end demand intake project lifecycle management resource allocation capacity planning and portfolio governance processes.

• Configure project templates funding models resource plans portfolio dashboards and performance analytics.

• Develop reports and executive dashboards to provide visibility into portfolio health strategic initiatives resource utilization and project delivery metrics.

• Collaborate with PMOs Portfolio Managers Product Owners and Business Stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable SPM solutions.

• Assist in SPM data migration platform adoption initiatives and continuous process improvements.

What youll need:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology Engineering or a related discipline.

• 2-4 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.

• Strong experience with:JavaScript ServiceNow Scripting Framework Flow Designer Business Rules Script Includes Client Scripts UI Policies Data Policies ACLs

• Experience developing integrations using REST APIs SOAP APIs andIntegrationHub.

• Working knowledge of ServiceNow data model CMDB concepts and platform architecture.

• Experience supporting at least one implementation or enhancement project involving ServiceNow SPM/PPM modules.

• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) solutions including:Demand Management Project Portfolio Management Resource Management Agile Development.

• Experience with ITSM ITOM CMDB SAM Pro HAM Pro or HRSD.

• Knowledge of PMO processes project governance portfolio management and financial planning.

• Experience with Performance Analytics and ServiceNow Reporting.

• Familiarity with Agile ScrumSAFe or hybrid project delivery methodologies.

• Exposure to AI-powered ServiceNow capabilities including Predictive Intelligence and Generative AI features.

Certifications (Preferred)

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Strategic Portfolio Management (CIS-SPM) (Preferred)

• ITIL Foundation Certification
