Key Responsibilities:
Architect and implement REST APIs.
Design and implement low-latency high-availability and performant applications.
Test software to ensure responsiveness correctness and efficiency.
Collaborate with front-end developers on the integration of elements.
Take initiatives to build better and faster solutions to the problems of scale.
Troubleshoot application-related issues and work with the infrastructure team to triage Major Incidents.
Experience in analyzing/researching solutions and developing/implementing recommendations accordingly.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Minimum of four years of professional experience
Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring developers including work allocation delivery ownership
and performance feedback.
Expertise in JavaScript (ES6) and Node JS is a must
Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures
In-depth knowledge of frameworks like Express JS and Restify
Experience in building backend services for handling data at large scale is a must
Ability to architect high-availability applications and servers on cloud adhering to best practices; microservices
architecture is preferable
Experience working with MySQL and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB and MongoDB
Experience writing complex SQL queries
In-depth knowledge of Node JS concepts like the event loop
Ability to perform technical deep-dives into code
Experience building and deploying GenAI-powered backend services or tools such as prompt routers
embedding search and RAG pipelines
Understanding of communication using WebSockets
Good understanding of clean architecture and SOLID principles
Basic knowledge of AWS and Docker containerization is preferable
Experience in Python is a plus
Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude to accelerate development
assist in code reviews and support efficient coding practices is a plus
Familiarity with Git
