Role Name: Shift Engineer Business: Manufacturing Segment/Department: PowderCoating Function: Production Reporting to:Section Lead Cost Centre : Role Purpose: To ensure smooth and uninterrupted shift operations of the powder coating line by supervising manpower maintaining process discipline achieving production targets controlling quality parameters and coordinating with PPC Quality and Maintenance for sustained performance while ensuring safety and compliance. Detailed Job Description: (HIGHLIGHT CRITICAL ACTIVITIES) production plan as per PPC schedule and ensure all materials & resources are available for the shift. -wise supervision of loading pretreatment WDO TPC/PC booths HCO and PCO operations. adherence to process parameters (DFT curing booth settings powder feeding PT parameters). shift-wise DFT audits and ensure quality compliance. and control line performance (cycle time gaps stoppages changeovers). management: allocate operators manage breaks ensure skill alignment and monitor productivity. escalation to Maintenance and Quality; follow up for resolution during shift. proper handover between previous and next shifts (production quality deviations breakdowns pending actions). documentation: DPR quality logs downtime records powder consumption. powder usage and reduce wastage rework and touch-up. safety discipline (PPE equipment safety chemical handling emergency protocols). new trials and monitor performance of new products / powders during the shift. abnormalities and take corrective actions to maintain process stability. 5S and continuous improvement activities in the allocated zone start-up and shutdown compliance as per standard procedures.
