About the Internship

Were looking for a curious AI-native SEO/AEO/GEO Intern to help grow Recootys visibility across both traditional search engines and AI answer engines. Youll work on real content for a global SaaS product from day one learning a skill set that most marketers in India havent caught up to yet. Perform well and this converts into a full-time role after 3 months.

What Youll Do

• Support on-page SEO: meta tags headings internal linking and content structure
• Conduct keyword research and identify content gaps against competitors
• Optimize blog content for AI citation: direct-answer openings question-format headers FAQ sections and structured data
• Research how ChatGPT Perplexity Gemini and Google AI Overviews answer queries in the hiring and HR tech space and find opportunities for Recooty to get cited
• Track rankings AI mentions and organic traffic using Google Search Console and Analytics
• Assist with internal linking audits and content refresh plans for existing blog posts
• Monitor SEO health: indexing issues duplicate content and technical fixes
• Compile weekly reports on whats working whats not and why

What Were Looking For

• Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals: on-page off-page and technical
• Genuine curiosity about AI search tools; you already use ChatGPT Perplexity or Gemini and notice how they cite sources
• Awareness of featured snippets People Also Ask and AI Overviews (AEO concepts)
• Strong written English with good editing instincts
• Familiarity with Google Search Console and Google Analytics is a plus
• Comfort with spreadsheets and structured reporting
• Students recent graduates or digital marketing course completers based in or willing to relocate to Jabalpur

Bonus Points For

• Any hands-on SEO work: a personal blog college project or freelance gig
• Familiarity with schema markup or structured data basics
• Experience with SEO tools like Semrush Ahrefs or Ubersuggest
• Having ever asked why did ChatGPT recommend that brand and actually dug into the answer
