About The Job:
- Experience: 7 - 15 Years
- Seeking an experienced Storage Backup & Infrastructure Support Engineer with strong expertise across enterprise storage backup SAN NAS virtualization and infrastructure platforms.
- The role involves managing production storage environments troubleshooting infrastructure incidents ensuring backup and recovery readiness and supporting business-critical systems.
Essential Job Functions:
- Administer and support enterprise storage backup SAN NAS and virtualization environments.
- Perform backup administration recovery testing and disaster recovery support activities.
- Troubleshoot backup failures restore issues and recovery operations.
- Manage storage provisioning capacity management performance optimization and infrastructure health monitoring.
- Support SAN zoning connectivity troubleshooting and storage fabric management.
- Administer NAS environments including file shares replication failover and data protection.
- Manage VMware datastore provisioning expansion Storage vMotion and storage integrations.
- Perform storage and operating system troubleshooting across Windows and Linux environments.
- Monitor storage SAN backup and infrastructure performance using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Collect logs perform fault isolation coordinate hardware replacements and manage vendor support cases.
- Support incident service request change management and problem management activities.
- Coordinate with OEM support teams for critical infrastructure incidents and escalations.
- Ensure availability reliability performance and operational stability of enterprise storage and backup environments.
Qualifications:
Required Technical Skills
- Backup: Client EMC NetWorker PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM) Acronis Cristie BMR/NBMR Virtual Machine and File-Level Recovery.
- Storage: XtremIO PowerMax/VMAX VPLEX Local/Metro PowerStore Unity Pure Storage Client EMC Storage Platforms.
- SAN: Brocade SAN Switches SAN Zoning SANnav Administration and Troubleshooting.
- NAS: Unity Isilon/PowerScale SMB NFS Replication Failover and File Services Administration.
- Virtualization: VMware ESXi Datastore Provisioning Storage Expansion Storage vMotion.
- Operating Systems: Windows and Linux Storage Configuration Integration and Troubleshooting.
- Monitoring: Grafana InsightIQ Storage Monitoring Platforms SAN Performance Monitoring Tools.
- Hardware Support: Log Collection Fault Isolation Hardware Replacement Coordination Vendor Case Management.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across the complete Host SAN Storage technology stack.
- Experience handling incidents service requests change management and problem management activities.
- Experience working within SLA-driven operational and support environments.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot backup failures storage performance issues SAN connectivity problems and hardware-related incidents.
- Experience coordinating issues with Client EMC Pure Storage VMware Brocade and other OEM support teams.
- Good understanding of High Availability (HA) Replication Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity concepts.
- Strong documentation communication stakeholder management and escalation management skills.
