About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with 5 to 12 years of expertise in managing mission-critical database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability performance scalability and security of SQL Server databases while supporting enterprise applications and business operations. This role requires strong hands-on experience in SQL Server administration performance tuning backup and recovery high availability database security and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will collaborate with development infrastructure and operations teams to implement reliable and optimized database solutions that support business growth and operational excellence.

What Youll Do:

• Manage administer and maintain enterprise-scale Microsoft SQL Server database environments.
• Ensure database availability reliability scalability and performance across development testing and production environments.
• Design implement and maintain backup recovery and disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor database performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities.
• Perform query tuning indexing improvements and performance optimization activities.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and conduct root cause analysis for performance and availability incidents.
• Implement and maintain SQL Server High Availability solutions including Always On Availability Groups and Clustering.
• Develop and enforce database security policies access controls and auditing mechanisms.
• Collaborate with developers and architects to design efficient and scalable database solutions.
• Review database schemas stored procedures functions and queries to ensure performance and maintainability.
• Perform regular database maintenance activities upgrades patching and version migrations.
• Support database deployments releases and environment refreshes.
• Manage database capacity planning and growth forecasting.
• Document database architecture configurations best practices and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security governance and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in technology modernization initiatives and database architecture discussions.
• Mentor junior DBAs and provide technical guidance across database projects.

Expertise Youll Bring:

• 5 to 12 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 administration and support.
• Advanced proficiency in T-SQL Stored Procedures Functions Triggers and Views.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts normalization and database design principles.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Performance Tuning and Optimization.
• Expertise in analyzing execution plans indexing strategies query optimization and database performance monitoring.
• Strong experience implementing Backup Restore Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and Failover Clustering.
• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and database monitoring tools.
• Strong understanding of database security access management auditing and compliance practices.
• Experience managing production incidents and performing root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of database patching upgrades migrations and environment management.
• Experience with Capacity Planning Database Health Checks and Performance Monitoring.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with development infrastructure and business teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile DevOps and IT Service Management environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and support business-critical systems.
