As a Data migration engineer you will drive end-to-end data migrations by extracting transforming and loading data between systems. Ensure data quality minimize downtime and deliver seamless transitions while maintaining governance performance and stakeholder alignment

The full team consists of 4 different client facing areas Solution scope management Solution architecture Client on boarding as well as data migration services.

Role Responsibilities -

As a Data migration engineer your focus will be developing and implementing end-to-end data migration tools. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries e.g. Sweden Lithuania etc.

We design plan and implement comprehensive data migration strategies and methodologies.

We analyze legacy data structures map them to target schemas and execute sophisticated data transformations.

We identify investigate and resolve data discrepancies bottlenecks and performance issues during the migration process.

We compose and maintain clear technical documentation for migration processes mapping rules and system configurations.

Genuine interest in systems solutions and understanding of software development lifecycles!

We expect you to have:

• 7 years of proven experience in data engineering database administration or specifically in data migration roles.
• Deep understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL SQL Server etc.

• Should have experience in Java development

  Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell for automation.
• Experience working with Linux operating system Flexibility to travel customer sites
• Strong English interpersonal skills for technical documentation and cross-functional teamwork.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Data Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

It would be great if you:

• The ideal candidate has a background as a Business Analyst as well as Software engineering to code for example migration scripts in general a developer skills.
