As a Senior Staff Software Engineer you are considered an experienced engineer with expertise in systems architecture database programming CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies. Skilled code developer and mentor able to apply secure coding best practices troubleshooting techniques and problem-solving abilities to deliver high-quality solutions. Proficient with containers cloud platforms REST APIs and various programming languages.
Job Functions:
Authorize code release to production ensuring its secure and ready for use.
Perform complex software systems architecture analysis design and programming activities.
Conduct defect investigations bug verification tasks and lead release testing and support.
Participate in technical design meetings and contribute to the overall design of solutions/products.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for specific components within multiple products/solutions.
Assist with design implementation and documentation on ongoing projects.
Research and develop solutions for problems identified by QA Professional Services or Customer Care.
Conduct unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.
Continuously improve coding and design skills staying up to date with development best practices.
Collaborate with the development team stakeholders and participate in Agile ceremonies.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior software engineers.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
7 years experience in basic programming foundation and knowledge of databases and operating systems.
Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and proficiency in at least one OOP language (e.g. C# Java).
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience in full-cycle software design and development.
Proficiency in specific frameworks and languages relevant to the role.
Exposure to payment card industry (PCI) standards RESTful Web Services containerization (e.g. Docker) cloud technologies (e.g. AWS Azure) and integration experience with tools like Mulesoft.
Familiarity with OWASP/secure coding practices source code control tools (e.g. Git) and issue tracking systems (e.g. Jira).
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Large Language models Machine Learning large data processing.
