Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a talented Optical DWDM/OTN Testing Engineer with expertise in Python automation to join our team. As part of our cutting-edge technology division you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our optical communication systems through automated testing methodologies.

Responsibilities:

Design develop and implement automated test scripts using Python for Optical DWDM/OTN systems with a strong emphasis on ODU/OTU or lambda-level switching.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies requirements and test plans incorporating ODU/OTU or lambda-level switching considerations.

Configure and operate testing equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers power meters and traffic generators focusing on lambda-level granularity.

Perform comprehensive testing of DWDM/OTN systems including signal quality analysis BER testing and protocol compliance verification at the ODU/OTU or lambda level.

Analyze test results identify issues and work closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve them with specific attention to lambda-level switching functionality.

Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks and scripts incorporating ODU/OTU or lambda-level switching capabilities.

Document test procedures results and any relevant findings with detailed insights into lambda-level switching performance.

Requirements:

Engineering Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field.

Extensive experience in Optical DWDM/OTN testing with in-depth knowledge of ODU/OTU or lambda-level switching concepts.

Proficiency in Python programming language for test automation with a focus on developing scripts tailored to lambda-level testing scenarios.

Hands-on experience with test equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers power meters and traffic generators with a specific emphasis on lambda-level granularity.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills particularly in diagnosing and resolving issues related to lambda-level switching functionality.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with the capacity to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Prior experience with network testing automation frameworks or CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
