Senior SDET Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic Test Engineer to work at the forefront of our cloud modernisation within our Credit & Verification Services. This is a hybrid role requiring travelling to Hyderabad office circa 40% days per month.

Background:
This is an incredibly exciting time for the Experian UKI Region as we look to build our presence in the UK and Hyderabad and work on a technology transformation to meet our aspiration to significantly scale our business over the next five years. This an opportunity to join Credit & Verification Services on this journey and be part of a collaborative team that uses Agile DevSecOps principles to deliver business value. 
Credit and Verification Services currently comprises nearly 100 engineering teams who deliver over 200 products achieving significant revenue per annum for our UK Business.  

Role Context:
Were predominantly a .NET focused engineering team building modern cloud-native applications using the latest 8. All new services are developed with a forward-looking mindset and we actively evaluate emerging features and tools to continuously improve our engineering practices.
Our architecture is built on Kubernetes (EKS) enabling us to run scalable resilient microservices in the cloud. On top of this we leverage a wide range of AWS services (Lambda Kinesis Dynamo and RDS to name just a few) to enhance performance observability and integration across our platform.

Key Responsibilities:  
   Design develop and execute manual and automated test scripts based on business requirements.
   Develop maintain and enhance automation frameworks for UI API and backend testing.
   Create and maintain test data test environments and automation scripts.
   Perform various types of testing:
   White Box testing
   Black Box testing
   Integration testing
   UI testing
   API Testing

Qualifications :

         4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in a quality engineering software testing or test automation.

         Solid understanding of SDLC STLC and Agile/Scrum processes.

         Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

         Passion for quality learning new technologies and continuous improvement.

         Hands-on experience with UI API automation tools like Selenium Cypress Playwright REST-assured or Postman.

         Proficiency in Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) approaches

         Working knowledge of SQL for data validation. 

         Experience in at least one programming/scripting language: Java Scala Python or JavaScript. 

         Basic understanding of Containers (Docker) and CI/CD processes.

         Experience with version control systems like Git Bitbucket GitHub or Gitlab.

         Working knowledge of API testing backend validations and functional automation.

         Clear understanding of defect lifecycle reporting and issue tracking tools like Jira.

         Strong collaboration skills and a mindset for quality ownership

Highly Desirable and Useful skills:

         Exposure to AWS services like S3 Lambda Step Functions Glue or similar. 

         Understanding of Agile delivery frameworks Scrum or Kanban

         Knowledge of Performance Testing tools 

         Basic knowledge of Big Data Testing
