Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Executive with a strong background in shipping freight forwarding and logistics sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring new customers generating profitable business negotiating freight rates and developing long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and acquire new customers including exporters importers manufacturers and traders.
- Generate leads through client visits networking calls referrals and emails.
- Understand customer shipping requirements cargo details and freight needs.
- Coordinate with shipping lines NVOCCs overseas agents and transporters to obtain competitive rates.
- Prepare freight quotations and negotiate pricing while maintaining profit margins.
- Follow up on quotations and convert enquiries into confirmed shipments.
- Monitor market freight rates competitor activities and industry trends.
Requirements
- 58 years of relevant experience in shipping freight forwarding or logistics sales.
- Strong knowledge of the Indian shipping and logistics market.
- Experience in customer acquisition freight rate negotiation and business development.
- Good communication presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to achieve sales targets and develop profitable customer relationships.
- Existing industry contacts and a proven sales track record will be an advantage.
